Apollonius, is one of the historical figure heads that several researchers have seen as the catalyst for the Christ stories in the bible. Apollonius was a student of Pythagoras in ancient Greece.
He has acquired many attributions over time but in essence, his work, the Nuctemeron is an instruction manual for traveling through the twelve hours of the Night Side/Underworld. Each of the verses attributed to Apollonius are thought to be a fragment of a larger body of work that once existed, yet even in their impoverished state, for the dedicated seeker the verses yield a path to liberation; liberation from the wheel of the zodiacal necessity.
